Once upon a
time there was a little boy who was walking down a street. He
met an old man who had a long gray beard and a very long hair on
his head that was tied in a pony tail. When he saw the little
boy he smiled. The little boy smiled back at him and said,
“Hello sir”. The old man said “hellooo” to the little boy.
Come here son I have something to show you. This is an
unconventional cup. This cup is a magic cup that wizards drink
out of.
“An
unconventional cup”, said the boy. Why is this cup so special?
Why is it unconventional?” The old man said, “If you believe in
this cup, then whatever you wish for will appear in the cup”.
The little boy was excited. He thanked the old man for the cup
and started home. It was a hot summer’s day. The little boy
said, “boy it is hot I wish I had a glass of water!” Suddenly
cool water appeared in the cup and the little boy was very
shocked. Two minutes later the boy said, “Wow, I’m hungry” and
sandwich appeared in the cup.
He ran home and
said to his father “father, father I have a magic cup, an
unconventional cup”. The little boy’s father looked at the cup
and said,” this is not a magic cup. This is not an
unconventional cup. This is an ordinary cup”. The boy said,
“Wish for something dad.” The father looked at the boy and
said, “I wish I had a cup of coffee”. Coffee did not appear in
the cup. The little boy was sad. Then he remembered what the
old man had said. Only if you believe in the cup will your wish
come true. |
