“What if…” By Caiden Merritt - Prosser

This is a story about a boy named Brandon.  He had a great imagination and could do some pretty amazing things with it so, read on to find out more.

Brandon was playing video games and then quit because his parents were making dinner.  It was 5:30 p.m. so Brandon was hungry.  They ate dinner then Brandon went to bed at 8:00 p.m.  Brandon was thinking, what if the world was a triangle or what if all plants were black or brown.  All of a sudden the earth started shaking.  Plants were shaking then they started turning black and brown.  Then everything started turning weird.

Brandon’s house started turning a weird parallelogram shape.  The sun turned purple and had giant holes in it.  Brandon looked around.  He was wondering if he had done this.  Suddenly he heard his mom calling him to breakfast.  Then, he had an idea.  He said, “what if I had a robot.”  Something was sparkling in front of him.  It was the robot!  The robot’s eyes started lighting up then he said “must destroy alien life forms.”  Brandon ran as fast as he could.  He finally got away.  “Settle down and eat your breakfast” his mom said.  Then he thought what if I was president!  Suddenly he was in a giant room with pictures of him all over the room.  Two men in black suits and black glasses were standing by him.   He knew he was in the white house.  Then a lady came in and said, “You’ve got company sir.”  Thousands of people were running to him trying to get his autograph.  Brandon ran out of the white house and told a kid that “Brandon” had gone left.  Then he hid behind a rock.  He came out from behind the rock and the people saw him.  They ran after him.  The sparkling robot saw him.  He was surrounded.  The robot started to shoot then the trees came to life.  Brandon pushed pass the robot but couldn’t see clearly because of the painfully bright light shooting through the holes in the purple sun.  He closed his eyes and ran as fast as he could.  He could feel the tips of the tree branches trying to grab his shirt.  He ran faster and faster but soon found himself stuck in a corner with no where to go.  He realized he had run into a corner of his triangle world.

He turned to see thousands of people still running toward him.  He started breathing really hard and sweat was dripping from his forehead.  He didn’t know what to do.  Then he got an idea, he closed his book and gently laid it down.” That’s enough reading for tonight,” he said went to sleep.
