This supplemental unit for Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto provides activities and web resources developed as part of the Schools of California Online Resources for Educators (SCORE) Project, funded by the California Technology Assistance Program (CTAP).

During this supplemental unit, second grade students will use the Internet to discover recipes, build sequencing skills, and learn the value of telling the truth through additional stories. In the culmination of this unit, students will apply their new knowledge of recipes and telling the truth to create their own narrative story.
